Job summary

Amadeus is seeking a Senior AI UX Designer to shape intuitive, AI-enhanced travel experiences for airport passengers. You will design kiosks, boarding systems, and self-service touchpoints, using AI tools to accelerate ideation and prototyping across a global design team.

You’ll conduct user research, create robust prototypes in Figma, and collaborate with product managers, designers, and AI specialists to ensure designs meet traveler, business, and technical needs while staying ahead of AI

Qualifications

• 6+ years of UX experience with user-centered design
• Experience prototyping, usability testing, and design documentation
• Experience using AI tools or agents to accelerate design work
• Fluent in English; ability to communicate across global teams

In this role, you'll

• Design user experiences for airport and passenger-facing products such as kiosks, boarding systems, and self-service touchpoints.
• Use AI tools, agents, and automation workflows to enhance productivity, prototyping, and concept exploration in the UX process.
• Conduct user research, interviews, and journey mapping to ensure designs meet traveler, business, and technical needs.
• Create low- and high-fidelity prototypes using tools like Figma and other AI-assisted design platforms.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX and 3D Designers, R&D Engineers, and AI specialists throughout the design lifecycle.
• Document workflows, principles, and best practices for AI-assisted UX design and share knowledge with global design teams.
• Present concepts, insights, and recommendations through clear storytelling and visual communication.
• Stay up to date with new AI design tools, trends, and workflows that enhance efficiency and creative exploration.
• Participate in cross-functional workshops and ideation sessions focused on the passenger experience.

About The Ideal Candidate

• Experienced UX professional (typically 6 years) with a strong foundation in user-centered design and experience creating complex digital interfaces.
• Skilled in research, prototyping, usability testing, and design documentation using Figma or similar tools.
• Experienced in using AI tools or agents to accelerate creative work, automate tasks, or explore design alternatives.
• Proactive and curious about integrating AI ethically and meaningfully into design processes.
• Strong storytelling and collaboration skills, able to communicate ideas effectively across diverse technical and design teams.
• Comfortable working in evolving, multidisciplinary, and global environments.
• Fluent in English; other languages are an advantage in a global environment.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for user research, testing, and collaboration activities at airports or innovation centers.
