Job summary

Next Engineering is seeking experienced senior software engineers to design and lead large-scale platforms and distributed systems. You will shape cloud-native architectures, define reusable platform capabilities, and champion modern engineering practices across multiple teams.

If you have hands-on expertise with microservices, APIs, asynchronous and event-driven systems, and strong mentoring of senior engineers, this role offers remote work, 6+ years experience, and a base salary of 1400–2000

• Experience in designing large-scale software platforms and distributed systems;
• Strong understanding of cloud-native application architecture and modern engineering practices;
• Demonstrated success in establishing technical standards across multiple engineering teams;
• Solid software engineering background with experience in building reusable platform capabilities,
• Hands-on expertise with microservices, APIs, asynchronous systems, and event-driven architectures,
• Experience mentoring senior engineers through technical leadership (not line management),
• Comfortable spanning infrastructure, applications, AI systems, and product engineering;
• Ability to distill complex technical problems into scalable architectural patterns;
• Excellent communication skills; able to influence technical direction across multiple disciplines.
