Job summary

Alignerr Corp. is seeking French language experts to help evaluate and improve AI systems for French learners. You will assess accuracy and educational quality of AI-generated French, provide structured feedback, and support language-tutoring models in asynchronous collaboration.

The role is remote on an hourly contract, with a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week, welcoming applicants worldwide who can work independently and deliver high-quality linguistic judgments.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native proficiency in French.
• Experience teaching French or evaluating learner language.
• Solid familiarity with CEFR frameworks and learner speech patterns.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated French speech and text for linguistic accuracy and educational quality.
• Assess learner speech and writing across CEFR levels from Pre-A1 through B2+.
• Provide clear, structured feedback to improve AI tutoring and language models.
• Identify errors, awkward phrasing, and pedagogical gaps with expert judgment.
• Collaborate asynchronously with project leads and fellow experts.
• Contribute to raising overall quality and reliability of AI language instruction.

French Language Expert (AI Training)

What You'll Do

• Evaluate AI-generated French speech and text for linguistic accuracy, naturalness, and educational quality
• Assess learner speech and writing across proficiency levels from CEFR Pre-A1 through B2+
• Identify learner errors, unnatural phrasing, and pedagogical gaps with expert judgment
• Provide clear, structured feedback that improves AI tutoring and language-learning models
• Collaborate asynchronously with project leads and fellow language experts
• Contribute to raising the overall quality and reliability of AI language instruction

Who You Are

• Native or near-native fluency in French
• Experience teaching French or evaluating learner language
• Strong written communication skills in English (C1/C2)
• Solid familiarity with CEFR frameworks and learner speech patterns
• Enrolled in or completed a Bachelor's degree or higher
• Attention to detail and consistency in linguistic judgment
• No prior AI experience required

Nice to Have

• Experience with language assessment, curriculum design, or standardized testing
• Exposure to AI-powered language tools or educational technology
• Familiarity with regional French variations (European, Canadian, African, etc.)
• Comfort working independently in structured, asynchronous workflows
