Capgemini Engineering invites an experienced AI Engineer to join our AI Engineering team in Évora, Portugal. You will design, build, and deploy data and AI solutions at scale, collaborating with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders.

The role emphasizes cloud-native architectures on GCP, data governance, and automated ML workflows. You should have a strong background in Data Science, ML Engineering, or Data Engineering, with fluency in English and experience with SQL and Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, DS, Eng, Math, or related field.
• Experience in Data Science / ML Engineering / Data Engineering / Big Data Engineering.
• Strong SQL and data modelling concepts; Python programming.
• Fluency in English and ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data and AI solutions.
• Build and optimize data pipelines for advanced analytics and ML use cases.
• Develop, train, deploy, and monitor ML models in production.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, architects, and stakeholders.
• Implement cloud-native AI/data architectures, preferably on GCP.
• Ensure data quality, governance, security, and performance.
• Automate data processing, model deployment, and monitoring via CI/CD and MLOps.
• Contribute to ongoing AI, analytics, and data engineering improvements.
