Job summary

Kaizen Resourcing Ltd in Portugal is seeking an AI Engagement Lead to own client AI programmes from discovery to renewal. You will drive outcomes, sponsor relationships, and the delivery plan with one or two Forward Deployed Engineers to translate messy problems into measurable adoption.

The role is remote-first with offices in Porto and Lisbon, offering a benefits budget and profit sharing. You will be expected to manage scope, margins, and renewals while ensuring client success.

AI Engagement Lead Portugal · Remote-first · Full-time Offices in Porto and Lisbon

A Portugal-based technical business is hiring an AI Engagement Lead. You own client AI programmes from discovery to renewal. Not a coordinator. Accountable for the outcome, the relationship and the commercial result.

You work with client leadership and one or two Forward Deployed Engineers. You turn a messy operating problem into a small set of outcomes, a delivery plan and evidence of adoption. You grow the account only where it improves the client result.

They are also hiring two Forward Deployed Engineers.

You own

• Client outcomes, adoption and evidence of impact
• The sponsor relationship and the people doing the work
• Priorities and fast decisions for one or two FDEs
• Scope, burn, margin, renewal and paid expansion
• How AI is used in delivery, including what you verify yourself
• Turning what you learn into reusable delivery patterns

After six months

• Accounts run without routine dependence on company leadership
• Sponsors can name the outcomes, evidence and next decisions
• FDEs have clear priorities and direct access to users
• Scope and margin are visible before they become surprises
• AI workflows are in real use, with adoption and quality measured
• Renewal or paid expansion is agreed against a validated need

Fit

• You have owned complex client work end to end
• You have led a small senior technical team through ambiguous work
• You can hold a board-level conversation and a technical deep-dive on the same day
• You use AI in your own work and can show where it was wrong and how you checked it
• You write and speak clearly, and you take ownership when the brief is incomplete

No set degree or consultancy background required.

Not a fit if you coordinate without owning the outcome, agree in the room and renegotiate with the team later, or treat AI as draft-polish and adoption as someone else’s problem.

Package

• €21,000–€24,000 benefits budget, including meal allowance
• Profit share on top, about 8% of gross on average, tied to company results
