Responsibilities
- Develop & maintain scalable web applications using Java (Spring Boot) and Angular.
- Use AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or internal LLMs) to write, refactor, and document code efficiently.
- Design and integrate RESTful APIs and manage database interactions (SQL/NoSQL).
- Use Git – make clean commits, use meaningful branch names, and perform efficient merges. Apply branching strategies such as gitflow.
- Create modular, reusable Angular components that are intuitive and high‑quality.
- Containerize applications with Docker to ensure consistency from development to production.
- Continuously learn and adopt new AI development tools that enhance team workflow.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Java 17/21+ and proven experience with Spring Boot.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and modern Angular (v17+ preferred).
- Deep understanding of Git operations, including rebase and merge strategies.
- Experience writing Dockerfiles, managing images, and explaining containerization concepts.
AI & Tooling Edge
- Expertise in AI orchestration for code generation, unit testing, and debugging.
- Skill in prompt engineering to elicit high‑quality, secure code from LLMs.
- Proficiency in auditing AI‑generated code for security and performance, with a Human‑in‑the‑Loop (HITL) focus.
Nice‑to‑Haves
- Experience integrating OpenAI/Anthropic/Gemini APIs into web applications.
- Familiarity with vector databases such as pgvector or Pinecone, or with LangChain.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Testing mindset with JUnit, Jasmine/Karma, or equivalent frameworks.
- Knowledge of Liferay CMS.
Who You Are
- Pragmatic: Know when to code from scratch versus leveraging AI assistants.
- Curious: Engage with the latest LLM models and plugins without waiting for official releases.
- Quality‑focused: Prioritize code review as AI generates more code.
