Job summary

act digital is seeking an AI Agent Developer to join a technology-driven team in Lisbon, Portugal. The role focuses on designing, building, and optimizing AI agents and automation workflows powered by Generative AI and LLMs.

You will work on orchestration with n8n and related tools, integrate with enterprise systems via REST/GraphQL, and ensure secure, reliable AI solutions. This hybrid role offers in-office collaboration two days a week in Restelo and flexible remote options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, or related field.
• Strong understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, and AI automation concepts.
• Experience with AI orchestration platforms such as: n8n, LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, Flowise.
• Experience implementing RAG architectures, vector databases, embeddings, and semantic search.
• Hands-on experience integrating systems through REST APIs, GraphQL, webhooks, and messaging services.
• Knowledge of authentication standards: OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, SAML, API Keys.
• Experience with cloud providers: Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Professional English proficiency.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain AI agents using n8n and orchestration tools.
• Build and optimize AI workflows integrating LLMs, APIs, databases, and enterprise apps.
• Develop prompts, prompt chains, and agentic workflows for reliability.
• Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and knowledge-based AI systems.
• Integrate AI solutions with REST APIs, GraphQL, webhooks, and messaging services.
• Design secure authentication and authorization mechanisms for AI apps.
• Monitor AI agent performance, reliability, and operational metrics.
• Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and governance standards.
• Document AI workflows, integrations, and procedures.
• Collaborate with Product, Business, Software, Architects, and Ops teams.
