Volkswagen Financial Services Portugal is seeking an AI Engineer to design and build AI-powered applications using LLMs, RAG, and agentic patterns in Porto. You will translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and collaborate with product leads and stakeholders.

The role focuses on reusable AI accelerators, vector databases, embeddings, and AI orchestration frameworks, with emphasis on enterprise API integration and ongoing AI practice evolution.

Qualificações

• Experience with LLM-based applications.
• Advanced Prompt Engineering skills.
• Hands-on experience implementing RAG solutions.
• Experience designing and implementing AI Agents.
• Experience with vector databases and embeddings.
• Experience with AI orchestration frameworks (Semantic Kernel, LangGraph, LangChain or similar).
• Experience integrating enterprise applications and APIs.
• Experience evaluating and testing AI solutions.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop AI-powered applications leveraging LLMs, RAG and Agentic AI patterns.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Build reusable AI accelerators and components.
• Design knowledge retrieval solutions using vector databases and semantic search.
• Define and optimize prompting strategies, evaluation approaches and orchestration patterns.
• Collaborate with Product Leads, Business Analysts and stakeholders to shape use cases.
• Integrate AI capabilities with enterprise systems and APIs.
• Contribute to the continuous evolution of AI engineering practices.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and identify opportunities for adoption.
