A2IT Technology is seeking a Network & Systems Engineer for a high-security, defence-focused client project based in Lisbon. The role involves analyzing customer requirements to design system-level solutions for advanced, secure network infrastructures and integrated embedded distributed systems.

The engineer will work on diversified technologies, including voice and data protocols, with hands-on configuration of network devices and documentation of designs.

Qualificações

• University degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of analog and digital electronics, signal processing and embedded hardware.
• Experience with networking, telecom systems and protocols.
• Knowledge of radio frequency, digital communications and data transmission.
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex electronic and communications systems.
• Experience producing design documents (HLD/LLD).
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).

Responsabilidades

One of our clients, a prominent high-tech engineering firm operating in the specialized Defence and communications sector, is seeking a skilled professional to join their engineering team. In this role, you will analyze customer requirements and develop system‑level solutions for advanced, high‑performance tactical, naval, and secure network infrastructure. This position involves working with diversified technologies, including embedded distributed systems, voice and data protocols, and secure cross‑domain networking.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer needs and develop a comprehensive set of system requirements.
• Determine how existing systems and infrastructure can be leveraged to meet emerging technical requirements.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex software, hardware, and interconnected system problems.
• Create both high‑level and low‑level design (HLD/LLD) documentation for communication networks.
• Provide hands‑on configuration and management of Firewalls, Routers, and Switches.

Requirements

• University degree or equivalent qualification in Electronic Engineering.
• Solid understanding of electronic systems, including analog and digital electronics, signal processing and embedded hardware principles.
• Experience or familiarity with networking, telecommunications systems and communication protocols.
• Good knowledge of radio frequency, digital communications and data transmission systems.
• Ability to analyse and troubleshoot complex electronic and communication system issues, breaking problems down to identify root causes at hardware, signal or system level.
• Experience reading, interpreting and producing technical documentation, including high‑level and low‑level design documents.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and ability to work in technically demanding environments.
• Good written and spoken communication skills in English.
