Job summary

DHCare is seeking an Accounts Receivable Associate in Porto who speaks German. You will manage AR operations, including billing, collections, dunning, and month-end activities, while ensuring internal controls and global policy adherence.

You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive process improvements and support audits. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s/Master’s in accounting or finance and have 2-3 years of related experience along with strong MS Excel/Outlook skills and fluent

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in financial services or accounting.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools (MS Outlook and Excel).
• Language skills: fluent in English and German, knowledge of other languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Receivable Operations: Issue billing and credit notes; Perform collections based on aging reports; Manage the customer dunning process; Perform credit analysis and customer risk assessment; Apply incoming payments; Execute month-end closing activities; Ensure adherence to internal controls and global policies; Support process documentation and onboarding of new team members.
• Transition and Process Improvement: Actively contribute to process improvement initiatives; Support the migration of processes into the SSC; Follow compliance with SSC global policies and procedures.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders and local country teams to identify and implement efficiency improvements; Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations; Support internal and external audit processes as needed.

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Associate - German Speaker to join our Shared Service Center, based in Porto.

Responsibilities

1. Accounts Receivable Operations:
   
   
   
   • Issue billing and credit notes;
   
   
   • Perform collections based on aging reports;
   
   
   • Manage the customer dunning process according to schedule;
   
   
   • Perform credit analysis and customer risk assessment;
   
   
   • Apply incoming payments (cash application);
   
   
   • Execute month-end closing activities (e.g., AR cleansing, reclassifications, bad debt allowance);
   
   
   • Ensure adherence to internal controls and global policies;
   
   
   • Support process documentation and onboarding of new team members.
   
   
   
   


2. Transition and Process Improvement
   
   
   
   • Actively contribute to process improvement initiatives;
   
   
   • Support the migration of processes into the SSC;
