Plan A Technologies is looking for an experienced Head of Games Engineering — a strategic, hands-on leader ready to own the end-to-end engineering behind the entire games portfolio. This is a high-impact role where technology, people leadership, and product excellence meet. This is a fast-paced job with room for significant career growth.

Please note:you must have at least 7+ years in game development (ideally iGaming), 5+ years leading technical teams, including managers to be considered for this role.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

Oversee all game development across multiple in-house studios and 40+ engineers, ensuring the tech behind every game is scalable, sustainable, and player-ready.

Manage and develop a group of 6–8 Game Dev Leads, supporting them in hiring, growing teams, and executing at high velocity across studios and markets.

Own the development roadmap and technical strategy, aligning engineering practices with company-wide product and business objectives.

Scale systems, CI/CD, incident management, and delivery flows that support live games and new launches — at pace and with quality.

Work closely with Art, Animation, Math, Product, Compliance and Platform teams to ensure alignment, reduce rework, and accelerate value delivery.

Identify and implement modern tools, architectures, and workflows that enhance development speed, game quality, and maintainability.

Achieve those KPIs: Accuracy and consistency in project planning and on-time delivery, Game stability and quality post-release, Proactive issue detection and resolution before reaching production, Positive engagement and retention within engineering teams, and Effective process, tooling, and workflow improvements over time.

EXPERIENCE

7+ years in game development (ideally iGaming), 5+ years leading technical teams, including managers.

Proven hands-on experience launching dozens of products, with the ability to discern when to architect for scalability and when to prioritize fast, impactful delivery. You balance speed and quality by leveraging metrics, user feedback, and solid engineering principles.

Experience developing managers, setting a clear vision, and fostering psychological safety. Skilled at coaching through ambiguity and empowering teams to take ownership and drive outcomes.

Solid understanding ofslot mechanics, compliance constraints, and player psychology. Familiarity with math models, RGS platforms, or regulatory frameworks is a plus.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
