Our Frontend team sits within Akamai's Security and Technology Group. We deliver best-in-class web applications designed to secure enterprises' mobile device assets. Our Secure Mobile product suite forms part of Akamai's wider Intelligent Edge platform. The future is mobile!

You'll be part of an organised, fast-paced, and dedicated scrum team. We work closely with our Product, QA, and API teams. Currently we're in the process of carefully scaling and improving our framework codebase. Alongside this we're working on new feature development and improvements to existing features.

Responsibilities

• As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will be responsible for:
  • Working with the wider product development team to help design, develop, and ship features and enhancements.
  • Working closely with the Frontend team to help optimise our codebase, build system, and processes.
  • Bringing your experience to add mature development capability to the team, focusing on quality and scalability.

Qualifications

• To be successful in this role you will:
• Have demonstrable experience with modern web application development, including tooling and coding best-practices.
• Have extensive industry experience with one or more frontend framework, ideally including Angular.
• Be comfortable consuming REST APIs and interfacing with API teams.
• Have an eye for detail and quality, and a solid understanding of what constitutes a good UX.
• Have experience with agile product development including scoping and effort estimation, and iterative feature delivery.
• Have experience building and maintaining medium-to-large sized codebases.
