Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Work Placement & Migration Specialist to strategically manage the placement and migration of work across Global Shared Services Centre locations. You will align with service delivery models, drive efficiency, and ensure compliance with established standards.

You will lead major transition projects, collaborate with stakeholders, and maintain rigorous documentation of work placements while balancing strategic priorities and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience in Transition Management, Migrations & Project Management.
• Experience leading large transition projects (150+ FTE).
• Certified Prince2 Practitioner or PMP is a must.
• LEAN Six Sigma is preferred.
• Experience in a global business environment.

Responsibilities

• Leads new work and offshoring/new work or transfers for accounts within scope, bridging sales and operations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to monitor compliance with placement standards and decisions.

The Work Placement & Migration Specialist

The Work Placement & Migration Specialist is responsible for strategically managing the placement and migration of work across Global Shared Services Centre (GSC) locations, ensuring alignment with service delivery models, operational efficiency, and compliance with established principles and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leads all new work and offshoring/ New work or 1:1 Transfer for accounts owned in the area within geographical scope, business scale and impact, bridging the sales and operational activities, to ensure smooth transition of new or additional business into the organization.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to monitor and report compliance with work placement standards and decisions.
• Lead the migration of work based on the service catalogue, maintaining consistency, recording exceptions, and reducing fragmentation.
• Make informed decisions on work placement within the GSC, balancing strategic priorities, capabilities, and compliance requirements.

Accountabilities:

• Work Scope demarcation and assessment of right placement of tasks.
• FTE Evaluation basis standard guidelines and principles.
• Excellent Communication between various teams internal and external stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset and clear.
• Planning and Reporting.

Qualifications/:

• 3-5 years relevant experience in in Transition Management, Migrations & Project Management.
• Experience in leading Large Transition Projects (150 FTE or more).
• Strong project management skills and experience in managing complex and dynamic Transition projects.
• Certified Prince2 Practitioner/ PMP is a must.
• Additional LEAN Six Sigma is preferred.
• Experience working in a global business environment.
• Excellent in stakeholder management & a good team player.
• Comfortable when dealing with senior management and being part of tough discussions.
• Passionate about driving customer experience and client centricity.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English and communication skills.
• Excellent Presentation skills and overall expertise in MS Office Suite – especially MS Excel and Power point.
• Ability to multi-task, manage several projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment and manage challenge.
