Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Migration Engineer to drive migrations from legacy VMware environments to VMware Cloud Foundation 9.1 workload domains in Szczecin. You will manage end‑to‑end migrations, validate readiness, and coordinate with NSX‑T teams to ensure seamless transitions.

You will troubleshoot complex migration issues across vCenter/ESXi/HCX/NSX‑T and contribute to comprehensive migration documentation. Strong VMware skills and fluent English are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in VMware platform environments (vSphere, vCenter Server, ESXi).
• Proven experience migrating production VMs between VMware environments (multi-cluster/site).
• Strong understanding of vMotion, Storage vMotion, DRS, HA, resource pools, clusters, datastores, VM hardware versions, VMware Tools, vDS networking.
• Ability to interpret vCenter/ESXi events, tasks, alarms, logs to diagnose issues quickly.
• Fluent English communication.

Responsibilities

• Support end‑to‑end migration of VMs from legacy VMware ESXi/vSphere to VMware Cloud Foundation 9.1 workload domains.
• Execute migrations using HCX vMotion or most appropriate method per workload.
• Validate source and destination readiness (vCenter, ESXi, storage, network, HCX, NSX-T, DNS, monitoring, backups).
• Identify blockers (unsupported configurations, snapshots, VMware Tools issues, RDMs, high-change disks, network/storage constraints).
• Group workloads into migration waves based on dependencies and maintenance windows.
• Perform pre/migration/post-migration validation including power-on checks and application validation.
• Collaborate with NSX‑T teams to validate segments, Edge connectivity, NAT, and firewall policies.
• Troubleshoot migration issues across vCenter/ESXi/HCX/NSX‑T/vMotion/vSphere Replication/storage/network.
