Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking an Infrastructure Migration Engineer to drive the migration of virtual machines from legacy VMware ESXi/vSphere into VMware Cloud Foundation 9.1 workload domains. You will use HCX vMotion, validate readiness, and work with NSX‑T networking to ensure seamless transitions.

The role requires 5+ years in VMware environments, strong troubleshooting across vCenter/ESXi, and fluency in English. This is a hands‑on, cloud‑oriented position based in Poland.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in VMware platform environments including hands-on work with vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi.
• Proven experience migrating production VMs across multi‑cluster/multi‑site/multi‑tenant setups.
• Strong knowledge of vMotion, Storage vMotion, DRS/HA, resource pools, VM hardware versions, and NSX‑T networking.

Responsibilities

• Support end‑to‑end migration of virtual machines from legacy ESXi/vSphere to VMware Cloud Foundation 9.1 workload domains.
• Execute migrations primarily using HCX vMotion and validate readiness of source and destination.
• Identify blockers such as unsupported VM configurations, snapshots, and storage/network constraints; group workloads into migration waves.
• Assist pre/mid/post-migration validation including power‑on checks, network reachability, and application verification.
• Collaborate with NSX‑T teams to validate segments, overlay networking, BGP, NAT, and firewall policies.
• Document migrations with trackers, wave status, risks, and lessons learned.
