Job summary

Sii Poland in Kraków is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Migration Engineer to support a VMware migration program, moving virtual machines from legacy ESXi/vSphere to VMware Cloud Foundation 9.1 workload domains. You will work with HCX vMotion and NSX-T components, ensuring validation and cutover readiness.

The role involves planning migrations, grouping workloads, coordinating with network and storage teams, and producing detailed migration documentation to share lessons learned and risk

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with VMware platform environments and migration know-how.
• Proven experience migrating production VMs across multi-cluster environments.
• Strong understanding of VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, HCX, NSX-T.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end migration of VMs from legacy ESXi/vSphere to VMware Cloud Foundation workload domains.
• Execute migrations using HCX vMotion and validate readiness across components.
• Identify blockers and group workloads into migration waves.
• Support pre-, during-, and post-migration validation and handover.
• Coordinate with NSX-T teams to validate networking and security policies.
• Troubleshoot migration issues across multiple VMware layers.
• Produce migration documentation including trackers and lessons learned.
