Job summary

is seeking a Production Engineer for the VAN Assembly Production Team to lead ramp-up and continuous improvement of assembly processes. You will collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, Engineering, and IT to ensure safe, high-quality, and efficient processes. The role focuses on preparing production lines, implementing process concepts, and solving technical and process-related issues using data analysis and digital tools.

Qualifications

University degree in a technical field (mechanical/electrical/automation/mechatronics).
Three to five years of relevant automotive/assembly experience.
Experience in preparation, implementation, or optimization of production processes.
Cross-functional collaboration and project execution experience.
Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Willingness to travel for business.
Communicative knowledge of English or German.

Responsibilities

Participate in projects for preparation, launch, and ramp-up of new production processes and lines.
Create and develop assembly process concepts considering safety, quality, costs, and schedules.
Collaborate on machinery and equipment installation, commissioning, and optimization.
Ensure production process stability and support production in issue resolution.
Analyze end-to-end processes and dependencies between processes, equipment, and data.
Identify root causes and drive corrective and preventive actions.
Manage technical and process changes and coordinate related activities.
Analyze cycle times, ergonomics, material flow, equipment utilization, and workplace organization.
Coordinate process quality, complaints, and risks related to production.
Implement and improve production methods, standards, and procedures.
Define requirements for machinery, systems, and solutions supporting production.
Analyze production data to assess stability and drive improvements.
Collaborate with other departments and manage project tasks.
Prepare process documentation and training materials for staff.
Use digital tools and AI for data analysis and documentation.
