Job summary

Fujitsu seeks an experienced external service provider to manage Microsoft Exchange, Skype for Business, and MS Teams environments. You will administer, configure, and monitor these platforms, support project planning, and ensure security and performance across hybrid deployments.

Responsibilities include developing automation via PowerShell, maintaining SOPs, and collaborating with ICT teams to implement changes and resolve complex incidents.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of Microsoft Exchange on-premises and Hybrid, Skype for Business Server, Exchange Online, and MS Teams environments.
• Proficiency in scripting using PowerShell for Teams and Exchange Online.

Job description

• Professional Certificates: Relevant professional certifications in Microsoft 365, Exchange, Teams, or Unified Communications (or accepted equivalents).

DESCRIPTION OF THE TASKS

The external service provider will perform the following typical tasks and responsibilities:

• Administration & Configuration: Administer, install, and configure Microsoft Exchange, Skype for Business, MS Teams, and their associated components.
• Project Technical Assistance: Provide technical assistance pertaining to Microsoft Exchange, Skype for Business, and MS Teams in planning and developing new projects.
• System Optimization & Monitoring: Recommend and implement system improvements, and proactively monitor Microsoft Exchange, Skype for Business, and MS Teams to ensure maximum performance, efficiency, and availability.
• Architecture & Design Support: Support the Team Leader with the architecture and design of Microsoft Exchange, Skype for Business, MS Teams, and their components.
• Governance & Integration: Implement policies and governance, and oversee the integration of Microsoft Exchange, Skype for Business, and MS Teams with other systems, applications, and services.
• Standards & Protocols: Set, recommend, and enforce standards, methodologies, and protocols for administration and development.
• Reporting & Incident Resolution: Assemble trend reports, monitor utilization levels, perform diagnosis and resolution of moderately complex issues, and design processes to eliminate systemic problems.
• PowerShell Scripting: Write and maintain scripts using the Microsoft Teams PowerShell module and Exchange Online PowerShell.
• Documentation: Identify and document infrastructure configuration requirements, and write operational procedures (SOPs, checklists, diagrams) for daily operations.
• Security & Maintenance: Ensure the proper functioning of antimalware filters used by Microsoft Exchange, update servers, apply service-related security patches, and perform changes to the existing IT core infrastructure.
• Support & Collaboration: Act as 2nd line support for Unified Communication services and communicate effectively with system vendors, external service providers, and consultants.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

The candidate should possess the following knowledge and skills:

• Messaging & Collaboration Expertise: Deep knowledge of Microsoft Exchange (on-premises and Exchange Hybrid), Skype for Business Server, Exchange Online, and MS Teams environments.
• Automation & Scripting: Practical proficiency in scripting using Microsoft Teams PowerShell and Exchange Online PowerShell.
• Infrastructure & Security: Understanding of server updating, security patch application, antimalware filtering, and core IT infrastructure change management.
• Operational Readiness & Documentation: Expertise in drafting technical documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), operational checklists, and system diagrams.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Strong 2nd line support capabilities, ticket triage, diagnosis, and resolution of complex operational incidents.
• Inter-team Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional ICT teams (Software Development, Network, IAM, Service Desk, and Security).

SPECIFIC EXPERTISE (Mandatory)

• Hands-on experience in administering, configuring, and monitoring enterprise Microsoft Exchange, Skype for Business, and MS Teams environments.
• Practical experience in managing Connex/Dencrypt communication platform
• Practical experience in administration of desk sharing, group calendar, room panel applications (TimeFlex)
• Experience with hybrid Microsoft messaging/collaboration setups and Exchange Online
• Demonstrated experience in writing operational documentation (SOPs) and PowerShell scripting for messaging platforms.
