Job summary

CMC Markets is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Administrator to ensure accurate and timely delivery of UK payroll, benefits and employee share scheme administration. You will work with HR, Finance and external providers to deliver high-quality, responsive service and ensure payroll reconciliations are completed within deadlines.

The role involves coordinating inputs, performing reconciliations, and processing payroll journals, while maintaining confidential employee information with discretion.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in payroll administration, ideally UK payroll.
• Experience with a third-party payroll provider.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective organisation, problem-solving and prioritisation skills.
• A collaborative, customer-focused approach.
• Ability to handle confidential payroll, benefits and employee information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate payroll inputs and support payroll submissions for the UK.
• Complete payroll input, output and variance reconciliations, investigating discrepancies where required.
• Prepare payroll journals and supporting documentation for review and approval.
• Respond promptly to payroll queries from employees, HR, Finance and external providers.
• Prepare reports, reconciliations and documentation for internal and external audit requirements.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant controls, policies and procedures.
• Support administration of the Flexible Benefits programme and share schemes.
• Reconcile pension contributions and prepare management information for providers.
• Ensure payroll reporting requirements are accurately communicated and processed.
