Job summary

Capital.com is seeking a Head of Risk UK (Crypto) to lead the independent second line risk function for its digital assets business in the UK. You will report to the Group Head of Risk and shape the local risk direction while ensuring alignment with Group risk appetite and regulatory expectations.

This role carries FCA fit and proper assessment with senior management accountability and cross-border responsibilities as the Group scales. Hybrid work and strategic oversight are offered.

Qualifications

• Crypto-assets and digital assets experience are essential.
• Deep risk management experience in regulated financial services.
• Knowledge of FCA requirements and UK cryptoasset regime is highly valued.
• Experience with ICARA/ICAAP or equivalent frameworks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Risk Leadership: Own and drive the UK risk strategy aligned with Group strategy and FCA expectations.
• Financial and Prudential Risk: Lead the Group's financial and prudential risk framework and ICARA processes end to end.
• Stress Testing and Scenario Analysis: Design and lead stress testing covering crypto markets and liquidity conditions.
• Counterparty and Credit Risk: Set risk limits for liquidity providers and exchanges; oversee due diligence.
• Custody and Safeguarding Risk: Oversee custody arrangements and on-chain settlement risk.
• Operational Risk and Controls: Oversee UK RCSA, incidents, control testing, and KRIs.
• Technology and Resilience Risk: Oversee cyber risk and change management.
• Outsourcing and Third Party Risk: Manage critical third party arrangements with due diligence and exit plans.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Maintain risk registers and boards/committee reports.
• Regulatory Alignment: Support regulatory submissions, inspections, and remediation of findings.
