Job summary

Standard Chartered seeks an experienced Director to lead ICs & Technology Risk Assurance focused on Digital Assets and Emerging Technologies. The role requires deep expertise in cyber risk, AI/ML, DLT, and regulatory expectations, providing independent assurance across global technology initiatives.

You will report to the Head of ICs & Technology Risk Assurance and collaborate with Business, Technology, Cyber Security, and Risk teams to strengthen governance, risk management, and control

Qualifications

• 10+ years in cyber security testing/assessment, penetration testing, cyber security operations, cyber security audit or information security governance.
• Degree level education or equivalent, preferably in Digital Assets, AI, Data Science, Financial Technology.
• Personal authority based on trusted relationships and ability to advise at senior levels.
• Good knowledge of Standard Chartered Bank policies and risk management across technology and cyber.
• Proven ability to influence global activities with credibility.
• Ability to understand strategic priorities and focus on details to drive delivery.
• Excellent analytical skills for assessing risks and readiness.
• Experience in identifying risks, developing mitigations, and obtaining stakeholder agreement.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Assurance in developing and executing the Technology and Cyber Risk Assurance strategy.
• Lead and execute complex risk-based assurance reviews across governance, risk management, cybersecurity, resilience, and controls for Digital Assets and Emerging Technologies.
• Act as SME for Digital Assets and Emerging Technologies within Assurance and engage Regulators and stakeholders.
• Maintain awareness of industry developments and regulatory requirements for Emerging Technologies.
• Assess alignment of initiatives to ERMF, ORT, Information & Cyber Security Risk Frameworks, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate governance, risk management, security controls, third-party oversight, data governance, and resilience.
• Provide independent insights and thematic observations to senior management on control effectiveness and risk exposures.
• Lead validation and closure of assurance findings and management actions.
• Develop innovative assurance methodologies and data-driven testing approaches.
• Collaborate with First, Second, and Third Line functions to enhance risk visibility.
