Book and tender high-volume parcel shipments and LTL freight using carrier portals and systems for FedEx, UPS, DHL, and approved LTL carriers.
Select appropriate service levels (Ground, Express, Economy, LTL service tiers) based on delivery requirements, cost, and service commitments.
Prepare, process, and validate shipping labels and documentation for domestic and international parcel shipments.
Monitor high daily shipment volumes, proactively identify delays, service failures, billing discrepancies, or delivery exceptions, and coordinate resolution with carriers.
Analyze parcel and LTL shipment data to identify trends such as late deliveries, damage patterns, accessorial charges, and recurring carrier issues.
File, track, and manage claims for lost, damaged, or delayed parcel and LTL shipments, ensuring timely submission and follow-up to maximize recovery.
Support compliance with carrier requirements and basic domestic and international shipping documentation.
Develop and maintain Excel-based reports and dashboards tracking KPIs such as on-time delivery, transit time performance, cost per shipment, accessorial spend, and claim recovery rates.
Partner with carriers, warehouse operations, customer service, and finance teams to resolve shipment issues and improve parcel and LTL transportation performance.
Assist with continuous improvement initiatives, including carrier performance reviews, rate and service comparisons, and support for new shipping or transportation system implementations.
Required Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in transportation or logistics operations with a strong focus on high-volume parcel shipping.
Hands‑on experience booking parcel shipments and LTL freight using FedEx, UPS, DHL, and/or LTL carrier portals.
Experience selecting parcel and LTL service levels based on cost, transit time, and delivery commitments.
Working knowledge of shipment tracking, exception management, and carrier issue resolution in a high‑volume environment.
Experience filing and managing freight claims for parcel and LTL shipments.
Basic familiarity with domestic and international parcel shipping documentation and requirements.
Skills
Strong analytical skills with the ability to review large shipment data sets and identify trends, anomalies, and recurring issues.
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP), and basic charting.
High attention to detail and ability to manage large shipment volumes and competing priorities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for working directly with carriers and internal stakeholders.
