Job summary

Jit Team in Warsaw, Poland, is seeking a skilled AML/Big Data Engineer to join a greenfield platform in capital markets. You will design and build high-performance data pipelines in PySpark and Python, implement rule-based detection, and contribute to scalable detection architectures in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in Python and Java.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark (PySpark) and SQL for large-scale data processing.
• Experience working with distributed computing platforms and on-premise environments.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, and Bitbucket.
• Understanding of Capital Markets products, including FX, Equities, Derivatives, and Bonds.
• Experience in AML, Financial Crime, Surveillance, or rule-based detection systems will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with automation, testing frameworks, and integration with third-party systems.
• Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and ability to work effectively in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize AML detection data pipelines for large-scale capital markets environments.
• Implement and enhance detection rules, scoring models, and alerting frameworks supporting financial crime prevention initiatives.
• Process and analyze high-volume datasets using Python, Java, PySpark, and SQL.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable distributed data processing solutions.
• Contribute to the development of a greenfield AML platform, driving architecture, engineering standards, and best practices.
• Ensure high levels of performance, scalability, data quality, observability, and resilience across the solution landscape.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and support automation of deployment, testing, and validation processes.
• Integrate AML solutions with third-party systems, including case management platforms and other enterprise applications.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, technical discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support the delivery of innovative solutions that strengthen regulatory compliance and financial crime detection capabilities.

Project

You will be involved in a financial project focused on building a next-generation AML (Anti-Money Laundering) detection platformfor capital markets. The project aims to develop scalable data pipelines, rule-based detection frameworks, and scoring componentsthat identify suspicious trading activities across asset classes such as Equities, Derivatives, Bonds, and FX. You will contribute to the design and implementation of high-performance distributed data processing solutions while ensuring data quality, scalability, reliability, and operational excellence. Working within an Agile environment, you will help shape a greenfield architecture and deliver innovative solutions supporting financial crime prevention and regulatory compliance.
