Job summary

Jit Team is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join a Nordic banking project. You will design and execute automated tests for backend and frontend systems, using Playwright, Cucumber, Java, and TypeScript.

The role involves API testing, test case documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional Agile teams to ensure reliability and quality. Based in Poland with a hybrid model (office in Gdańsk/Warszawa), you’ll have exposure to international teams, an English-speaking environment, and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in test automation.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cucumber, and Playwright for automated tests.
• Proficient in Java and TypeScript for API and backend testing.
• Experience with API testing using WireMock or similar tools.
• Knowledge of Gherkin, SQL, Jenkins, qTest, and Postman or Bruno.

Responsibilities

As a member of a cross-functional Agile team, you will contribute to the development, testing, and continuous improvement of customer-facing digital products. Working within a large-scale enterprise environment, you will collaborate closely with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders, helping to ensure the quality, reliability, and scalability of modern banking solutions throughout the entire software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities you'll have

Designing, developing, maintaining, and executing automated tests for both backend and frontend applications

Creating and maintaining test automation solutions usingJava, Cucumber, and Playwright

PerformingAPI testing (automated and manual) for REST services

Analyzing requirements and identifying testing scenarios

Preparing test cases, test documentation, and test reports

Executing manual tests ondesktop and mobile platforms

SupportingCI/CD processes and test automation integration within Jenkins

Collaborating with cross-functionalAgile teams to ensure high product quality

UtilizingAI-powered tools to improve testing efficiency and delivery quality

Expected competences and knowledge

• 5+ years of experience in test automation

Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cucumber

Java, and TypeScript for API and backend testing processes

Hands-on experience with API testing (automated and manual), including work with WireMock or similar API mocking and service virtualization tools

Good knowledge of Gherkin, SQL, Jenkins (usage and basic configuration), qTest, and Postman or Bruno

Experience preparing test cases and test documentation

Practical experience using AI-powered tools

Nice to have

• ISTQB Certification
