WSI is seeking a Welding Engineer specializing in TIG and orbital welding to develop and qualify welding technologies for industrial projects. You will prepare WPS and WPQR/PQR documentation, plan qualification activities and guide project, production and sales teams to meet standards and client needs.

You will support welding trials, investigate issues, and contribute to improving welding quality and efficiency.

Formación

• Engineering degree in welding, mechanical or materials engineering.
• IWE diploma is mandatory.
• 3–4 years' experience as Welding Engineer or similar role.
• Experience developing TIG and orbital welding technologies.
• Experience preparing WPS, qualifying procedures and WPQR/PQR.
• Knowledge of ISO 15614, ASME IX and EN ISO standards; PED/NBIC or API is a plus.
• Good spoken and written English; MS Office; CAD tools advantageous.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites and projects.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and improve TIG and orbital welding technologies for industrial projects.
• Prepare and update WPS and WPQR/PQR documentation.
• Plan and oversee welding procedure qualification and test results review.
• Select welding parameters, consumables, equipment based on material and geometry.
• Provide technical guidance to project, production and sales teams.
• Support welding trials, investigate defects, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure documentation and records for procedures and personnel qualifications.
• Coordinate with customers, inspectors and subcontractors on welding matters.
• Monitor standards and customer requirements and update welding docs accordingly.
