Job summary

Abbott Core Diagnostics Division seeks a Technical Service Specialist to join the field support team for Poland, focusing on the Łódź area. You will install instruments, perform complex repairs, and manage software upgrades, while delivering basic trainings to customers and Abbott ambassadors.

The ideal candidate holds a engineering-related degree with 2+ years in field service, excellent English and Polish, and strong customer engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; engineering/medical technology preferred.
• 2+ years in technical service or similar role.
• Strong product knowledge and customer-facing experience.
• Excellent English and Polish fluency.

Responsibilities

• Perform site inspections for new contracts and installations.
• Provide level two service for complex interventions (>4 hours).
• Install instruments, AbbottLink, and automation systems.
• Carry out IQOQ procedures during and after installation.
• Assist with business reviews and customer training post-installation.
• Schedule and document hardware/software updates requiring >2 hours labor.
• Provide technical coaching and training to other specialists.

The Opportunity

For our Abbott Core Diagnostics Division we are looking for a talented, well-motivated person to join our field support team in Poland as a Technical Service Specialist – Łódź area.The Technical Service Specialist is responsible for providing level two support to our customer base – handling installations, complex repairs, longer duration instrument hardware or software upgrades and providing basic training to customers and Abbott Ambassadors.
The ideal candidate’s home location should be Łódź.

What You’ll do :

• Perform new customers and laboratory site inspections for new contract / tender preparations and design for new installations.
• Provide level two service (complex service interventions requiring more than four hours of labor).
• Installation of instruments, AbbottLink, and automation.
• Perform IQOQ (Installation Qualification Operation Qualification) procedures during and after installation.
• Assist with customer business reviews.
• Schedule, perform and document hardware and software updates (TSBs) requiring more than 2 hours of labor time.
• Deliver basic customer operator introductory trainings post install or post hardware or software upgrade.
• Perform basic technical coaching and training for Technical Service Specialist.

Required qualifications and background :

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Bachelors / Engineering degree in medical / electrical / mechanical or medical technology is preferred.
• Preferable more than 2 years of experience as Technical Service Specialist and or a proven track record in a similar position, supported by management and customer references.
• Successful engagement with customers, specifically key stakeholders and lab staff.
• Excellent product and industry knowledge.
• Excellent experience and process skills of the business functions service delivery.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Very good command of English and Polish is a must.
• Ability to identify and drive resolution of issues.
• Technical expert for product line responsibility.
• Excellent experience in use of analytical tools and software.
