Job summary

Abbott Laboratories is seeking a Technical Service Specialist to join the field support team in Poland, focused on the Łódź area. The role covers installation, calibration, and service upgrades for laboratory instruments and AbbottLink systems.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with 2+ years in technical service. Fluency in English and Polish is essential, and professional communication with lab staff is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; engineering degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience as Technical Service Specialist or similar role.
• Fluency in English and Polish required.
• Strong customer engagement and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Perform site inspections for new contracts or tenders and plan installations.
• Provide level two service for complex interventions requiring significant labor.
• Install instruments, AbbottLink, and automation systems.
• Perform IQOQ procedures during and after installations.
• Assist with customer business reviews and optimization.
• Schedule and document hardware and software updates requiring >2 hours.
• Deliver basic operator training post-install or upgrade.
• Provide basic technical coaching for colleagues.

The Opportunity

For ourAbbottCoreDiagnostics Divisionwe are looking for a talented, well-motivated person to join our field support team in Poland as aTechnical ServiceSpecialist – Łódź area.

TheTechnical ServiceSpecialist is responsible for providing level two support to our customer base – handling installations, complex repairs, longer duration instrumenthardwareor software upgrades and providing basictrainingto customers andAbbottAmbassadors.

The ideal candidate’s home location should be Łódź.

What You’ll do:

• Perform new customers and laboratorysite inspectionsfor new contract /tenderpreparations anddesignfor new installations.
• Provide level two service (complex service interventions requiring more than four hours of labor).
• Installationof instruments, AbbottLink, andautomation.
• Perform IQOQ (InstallationQualification Operation Qualification) procedures during and afterinstallation.
• Assist with customerbusiness reviews.
• Schedule, perform and documenthardwareandsoftware updates(TSBs) requiring more than 2 hours of labor time.
• Deliver basic customer operator introductorytrainingspost install or posthardwareorsoftware upgrade.
• Perform basic technical coaching andtrainingforTechnical ServiceSpecialist.

Required qualifications and background:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Bachelors /Engineeringdegree in medical / electrical / mechanical or medical technology is preferred.
• More than 2 years of experience asTechnical ServiceSpecialist and or a proven track record in a similar position, supported bymanagementand customer references.
• Successful engagement with customers, specifically key stakeholders and lab staff.
• Excellent product andindustry knowledge.
• Excellent experience and process skills of the business functions service delivery.
• Excellentcommunicationskills.
• Very good command ofEnglishand Polish is a must.
• Ability to identify and drive resolution of issues.
• Technical expert for product line responsibility.
• Excellent experience in use ofanalyticaltools and software.
