Job summary

Roche Polska sp. z o.o. in Warsaw seeks a Technical Product Owner for Rexis Field Service to align business priorities with technical delivery. You will own the backlog, define architecture, and collaborate with BPOs, MSPs, and enterprise teams in a hybrid model requiring two days in the office weekly.

You’ll drive API-first, cloud-native platforms, ensure security and compliance, and mentor engineers while managing budgets and delivering value to Roche’s commercial customer service ecosystem.

Qualifications

  • Experience defining tasks, coaching engineers, and driving medium to large-scale technical initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills to translate business processes into technical specs.
  • Expertise in Agile with sprint planning, backlog refinement and retrospectives.
  • Ability to define and enforce non-functional requirements: scalability, performance, reliability, security.
  • Experience with API-first architectures and integration patterns.
  • Familiarity with DevOps and platform engineering incl. CI/CD, release management, cloud-native models.
  • Hands-on testing strategy ownership, defect management, and IT governance for enterprise-scale platforms.
  • Proven commercial acumen, managing budgets and vendor costs.

As the Technical Product Owner for the DIA Commercial Customer Service Product, you will operate at the intersection of complex systems engineering and strategic commercial outcomes. You will own the technical vision, architectural coherence, and feature backlog for the platforms that enable our commercial customer service ecosystem. Acting as the definitive bridge between Business Product Owners, engineering squads, Managed Service Providers (MSPs), and enterprise architecture, you will translate high-level business priorities into precise, scalable, secure, and compliant technical implementations.

The Opportunity:

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Outcome Accountability & Execution: Own the product backlog for assigned systems, prioritizing features and operational needs based on business value and compliance. You will be accountable for the backlog execution in accordance with CSV and best QA practices. Actively champion high-value work and challenge low-impact efforts.

  • Architecture & Non-Functional Excellence:Proactively ensure all solutions adhere to established architectural patterns, enterprise technology strategies, and non-functional expectations (performance, reliability, scalability).

  • Business Collaboration: Partner closely with BPOs to align technical execution with commercial objectives, translating functional customer service needs into robust technical realities.

  • System Ownership & Governance:Serve as the accountable System Owner, ensuring applications remain fit-for-purpose, secure, and fully compliant with IT governance throughout their lifecycle.

  • Financial Responsibilities:Manage project budgets and resource allocation effectively, ensuring all initiatives are delivered within financial constraints and optimized.

  • Knowledge Transfer & Operational Continuity:Drive the structured capture of product knowledge, comprehensive system documentation, and operational runbooks to ensure high availability and seamless operational handovers.

  • Cross-Functional Coordination:Drive alignment across integrations, data workflows, and Managed Service Provider (MSP) coordination while actively participating in Agile ceremonies.

Who You Are:

You are a technically fluent product leader with a track record of realizing value in complex, cross-functional settings. You bring:

  • Demonstrated experience defining tasks, coaching engineers, and successfully driving medium to large-scale technical initiatives.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to deeply understand business processes and translate them into actionable technical specifications.

  • Expertise in Agile principles for iterative and adaptive project management. Ability to conduct sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives effectively.

  • The ability to define, champion, and enforce non-functional requirements, including scalability, performance, reliability, and security.

  • Deep experience with API-first architectures, integration patterns, and event-driven approaches to enable seamless connectivity between platforms.

  • Familiarity with DevOps and platform engineering practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated validation, release management, and cloud-native operating models.

  • Hands-on experience owning testing strategies, defect management, IT governance, and system documentation for enterprise-scale platforms.

  • Proven commercial acumen, with a track record of managing project budgets and vendor costs while effectively optimizing resource allocation.

  • Proven ability to act as a catalyst for innovation, providing strategic technical guidance to development teams and aligning emerging tech solutions with long-term business visions.

  • Exceptional leadership and mentorship skills, specifically in mentoring senior engineers and promoting architectural consistency through critical design reviews.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, capable of effectively translating complex technical information for varied stakeholder ecosystems.

  • Full professional fluency in English.

Compensation & Benefits

The expected salary range for this position, based on the primary location of Warsaw Grafit is 228,900.00 PLN - 425,100.00 PLN. Final compensation will be determined by a number of factors, including your skills, experience, qualifications, and location. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus with a target of 20% subject to both individual and company performance.
