Job summary

HeadHR is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Lead (DBA + Unix/Linux) in Kraków, Poland. You will lead a team delivering critical services and vendor platforms, owning end-to-end delivery from demand intake to reporting, while driving monitoring improvements and setting engineering standards.

You will mentor engineers, foster a high-performing culture, and collaborate across global teams in an agile environment. Fluency in English and independence in a diverse team are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years leading engineers in an enterprise environment.
• Proven experience transforming a team into a high-performing function.
• Strong DBA experience with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL and Unix/Linux skills.
• Experience maintaining highly available, low-latency systems in regulated industries.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; comfortable in a global environment.
• Working experience in Agile methodologies.

• 3+ years leading engineers/technical specialists and providing technical direction in an enterprise environment.
• Proven experience transforming a team into a high-performing function.
• Strong DBA (Oracle & Postgres) and/or Unix/Linux Skills
• Proven experience maintaining highly available, low-latency systems in a regulated industry (preferably banking, fintech, or insurance).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (performance troubleshooting, stability, capacity, incident analysis).
• Fluency in written and spoken English; comfortable working in a multi-cultured/global environment.
• Working experience in Agile methodologies.
• Ability to work independently and within a diverse team environment.
• Strong documentation, collaboration, and ownership mindset.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with monitoring/observability tooling and practices (e.g., AppDynamics, Grafana, Splunk, OpenTelemetry or equivalents).
