Job summary

HeadHR in Kraków is seeking a skilled software engineer to design, build, and maintain internal tools for Future State Architecture across CTO Platforms.

You will develop backend services in Node.js and/or Java, integrate with PostgreSQL, and craft web UI components for architects and engineers while advancing AI agents for build, test, and deployment.

Qualifications

• Proficient software engineer with Node.js and/or Java.
• Strong PostgreSQL data modelling and query optimisation.
• Experience building web apps with modern JS/TS frameworks.
• Familiar with AI agents / agentic application engineering.
• Understanding of production engineering principles: security, resilience, observability, testing.
• Experience designing internal platforms or developer tooling.
• Excellent English communication in international teams.

PROJECT

Join a global engineering environment focused on building internal tools supporting Future State Architecture (FSA) across CTO Platforms.

YOU WILL

• Design, build, and maintain internal tools supporting Future State Architecture across CTO Platforms
• Develop backend services and APIs using Node.js and/or Java
• Integrate applications with PostgreSQL and other enterprise data sources
• Build and enhance web UI components supporting workflows for architects and engineering teams
• Develop and orchestrate autonomous AI agents supporting software build, testing, and deployment processes
• Implement integration patterns using MCP, tool/function calling, and APIs
• Collaborate with architects, platform engineers, and stakeholders to translate architecture requirements into technical solutions
• Ensure solutions meet engineering standards for security, performance, resilience, observability, testing, and documentation
• Contribute to code reviews, automation, operational support, and continuous improvement of the engineering toolchain

MUST HAVE

• Strong software engineering experience with Node.js and/or Java
• Very good knowledge of PostgreSQL, including data modelling and query optimisation
• Experience developing web applications using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks
• Understanding of AI agents / agentic application engineering
• Experience with integration patterns such as APIs, MCP, and tool/function calling
• Strong understanding of production engineering principles, including security, resilience, performance, observability, and automated testing
• Experience designing solutions for internal platforms, developer tooling, or similar engineering environments
• Strong English communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders in an international environment
