Embla Medical (Össur) seeks a Technical Documentation Specialist to join the R&D Process, Systems & Compliance team in Szczecin. You will create, maintain, and improve technical documentation for medical devices, collaborating with engineers and Quality & Regulatory teams to ensure compliance across the product lifecycle.

You will participate in continuous improvement of documentation quality, digitalization efforts, and cross-functional knowledge sharing in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
  • Strong English writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent collaboration with multidisciplinary teams required.
  • Interest in technology, product development, and medical devices.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across projects.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and track documentation activities across projects.
  • Gather, organize, and verify technical, contextual, and product information for devices and accessories.
  • Create, review, tailor, and maintain documentation with engineers and SMEs.
  • Partner with Quality & Regulatory teams to meet regulatory and quality requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for documentation quality and digitalization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to meet timelines and milestones.

We are looking for a Technical Documentation Specialist to join the R&D Process, Systems & Compliance team. In this role, you will collaborate with engineers, Quality & Regulatory teams, and other experts to create, maintain, and improve technical documentation for medical devices. You will support development projects, compliance activities, and documentation processes across a growing global product portfolio.

This position offers exposure to product development, quality systems, regulatory requirements, and cross-functional collaboration in a highly regulated and innovative environment. You'll play a key role in ensuring technical knowledge is captured, maintained, and shared throughout the product lifecycle while helping to strengthen documentation practices across the organization.

What Is Waiting For You
  • Planning, coordinating, and tracking documentation activities across product development and maintenance projects.
  • Gathering, analyzing, and organizing technical, contextual, and product information for new and existing medical devices and accessories.
  • Creating, reviewing, tailoring, and maintaining technical documentation in collaboration with engineers and other subject matter experts.
  • Partnering with Quality & Regulatory teams to ensure documentation meets applicable regulatory, quality, and internal requirements.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives focused on documentation quality, digitalization, AI adoption, and R&D tools.
  • Working with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of documentation activities and project milestones.
What You Need To Succeed In This Role
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, pharmaceutical science, technical communication, or related field.
  • Excellent English writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Interest in technology, product development, and medical devices.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work across concurrent projects.
