Job summary

SoftServe seeks a Lead Full-stack Engineer to design, develop, and maintain information systems for a European public sector client. The work focuses on back-end with Java, Spring, JPA, and SQL, and front-end with JavaScript.

You will own the technical outcome from data model to API design and long-term maintainability. You will collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust software, focusing on performance, security, and data integrity, and contribute to

Qualifications

Master's level degree or equivalent senior IT education.
10+ years of Java experience.
8+ years of SQL experience.
8+ years of JPA experience.
7+ years of Spring experience.
4+ years of JavaScript and REST-based Web Services experience.
6+ months of agricultural sector information systems experience.
Very good English (CEFR B2 or higher).

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain full-stack features with Java/Spring back-end and JavaScript front ends.
Own technical outcomes, ensuring performance, security, and data integrity across layers.
Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into working software.
Implement business logic and data access using Spring and JPA; optimise SQL models and queries.
Design, build, and maintain REST-based services exposing business functionality.
Analyse and evolve existing systems while preserving compatibility.
Contribute to architecture decisions and coding standards; uphold quality through reviews and tests.
Produce and maintain technical documentation for delivered components.
