Job summary

SoftServe is seeking a Senior Full-stack Developer to maintain and evolve a global web presence for a major public sector project. You will ensure performance, security, and accessibility while delivering geospatial data to users worldwide, including those on limited-bandwidth connections.

You will review existing architecture and design new components, build blocks, and ensure scalable web applications with robust UI and server-side logic, across modern tech stacks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years IT experience with relevant degrees.
• At least 15 years in website development (front-end/back-end).
• 10+ years in geospatial web programming and UI/UX design.
• 5+ years using Git and SVN in collaborative environments.
• Proficient in Java, Node.js, or PHP back-ends with REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain features across the full stack including front-end and back-end.
• Monitor and optimise Web GIS performance for rendering and bandwidth.
• Review architecture and develop new components to improve UX.
• Design data transformation for JSON/GeoJSON and Cloud Optimized GeoTIFFs.
• Apply web security best practices and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
