Job summary

Kairos is seeking a Head of Talent Operations to build a new function at Kairos combining internal recruiting, ecosystem headhunting, and Talent Commons, our shared talent database for the AI safety ecosystem. You’d be the first person to own this function, reporting to Neav Topaz (co-director).

The role starts by leading hiring across Kairos as the team doubles over the coming months, then expands into the broader ecosystem work as we grow.

Qualifications

• Ability to make consequential calls about placements and hiring structure.
• Strong relationship-building with hiring orgs and candidates.
• Ability to design scalable processes and tooling for talent operations.
• Context on AI safety to inform decisions about where talent can have impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead Kairos hiring and build scalable recruitment processes.
• Source, screen, evaluate candidates, manage references and offers.
• Develop Talent Commons and platform for ecosystem deployments.
• Build relationships with AI safety organizations to enable placements.
• Track placement outcomes to improve matching over time.
