Job summary

Kairos is hiring a Head of Groups to own and expand our support for AI safety university groups worldwide. You will set strategy, decide new directions, and build the teams behind them, reporting to the co-director.

You will shape the future of our Pathfinder Fellowship and OASIS collaborations with top organizers. You will determine which groups to back, how to fund them, and how to scale impact, potentially hiring regional organizers and running residencies.

Qualifications

• Experienced with AI safety university groups and organizer ecosystems.
• Context on how fieldbuilding translates into impact.
• Ability to evaluate which organizers to back and hires.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategy for how we support university groups and scale.
• Launch new initiatives like regional organizers and residencies.
• Own how we support and fund groups and decide funding.
• Represent Kairos’s university groups work with organizers, universities, funders.
• Build and lead the groups team, including hiring and onboarding.
• Contribute to Kairos strategy and cross-cutting programs.
