Job summary

Kairos is a nonprofit accelerating talent into AI safety and policy. The Global Challenges Project runs three-day residential workshops, expanding into a full portfolio. You’ll own multiple programs, oversee outreach, guest recruitment, and in-person delivery, and drive impact at scale.

You’ll lead program teams, shape strategy, and iteratively improve offerings while maintaining high standards and strong partner relationships across academia, policy, and industry.

Qualifications

• Experienced at running events.
• Mission-aligned with AI safety and biosecurity.
• Good with people, energized by workshops.
• Comfortable managing a small team.
• High-agency, highly organized.

Responsibilities

• Own two or more GCP programs, including strategy, design, delivery and evaluation.
• Run programs experimentally and decide on ongoing relevance.
• Own outreach and participant selection; build applicant pools.
• Recruit high-quality guests and manage relationships with researchers and policymakers.
• Design workshop structure, sessions and participant experience to a high standard.
• Lead workshops in person, including talks, guest introductions and team management.
• Lead program teams (three to four people per workshop) and grow the team as needed.
• Measure impact with structured feedback and tracking of outcomes over months.
• Help scale GCP with operational structures and internship program design.
