Job summary

W Electric Poland LLC in Warszawa is seeking a Sustainability Expert to lead EU regulatory alignment across major nuclear projects, including the AP1000 program in Poland. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Energy, or related discipline.
• Extensive experience in sustainability within large infrastructure or industrial projects.
• Experience with supply chain sustainability and risk.
• Knowledge of EU Taxonomy and related regulatory frameworks.
• Familiarity with Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and whole life carbon methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate regulations into practical application.
• Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and influence stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Fluency in Polish and English.

Responsibilities

• Be a subject matter expert in sustainability, with a focus on EU regulatory frameworks and their practical implementation in large-scale projects.
• Support the AP1000 project in Poland by integrating sustainability considerations into project development.
• Provide expertise on EU Taxonomy and other relevant EU sustainability regulations, ensuring compliance and agreement on project goals.
• Translate regulatory requirements into practical, applicable guidance for project teams.
• Support Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) and related whole life carbon analyses.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project control teams to embed sustainability across all project phases and risks.
• Engage with all partners to agree on sustainability goals and reporting requirements.
• Monitor new sustainability regulations and best practices, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Help develop sustainability strategies for projects across Europe.
• Be a trusted advisor to project leadership on sustainability-related risks and opportunities.
