Job summary

Sperasoft is seeking a Material Artist to create high-quality materials and textures for stylized projects. You will translate art direction into materials using Substance Designer and ensure they integrate smoothly into the engine.

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of PBR, Maya experience, and a shipped title. You will collaborate with leads and other artists to maintain consistency across the material library and pipelines.

Qualifications

• Deep and highly proficient knowledge of Substance Designer
• Knowledge of PBR and physically based material standards
• High proficiency with Maya or similar
• Strong communication and mentoring skills
• At least one shipped title within the industry

Responsibilities

• Produce outstanding materials using Substance Designer
• Work with Lead and Art Director to ensure materials match Art Direction and target quality
• Collaborate with Level Artists to make materials easy to use
• Maintain integrity and uniformity of material library
• Setup materials in the engine and ensure proper blending
