Job summary

International Centre for Translational Eye Research (ICTER) at the Institute of Physical Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences invites applications for the role of Technology Transfer Coordinator in Warsaw. You will bridge science and industry to commercialise research results and support the ICTER Horizon Europe projects in ophthalmology.

Qualifications

• PhD in Physics/Optics/Biophysics/Engineering/Chemistry/Biotechnology or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in innovation and technology management in industry.
• Good understanding of intellectual property principles.
• Excellent command of English (C1) and ability to work under time pressure.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing technology transfer and commercialization strategies for research results.
• Identifying R&D results with commercialisation potential and supporting protection and licensing processes.
• Coordinating IP protection (patents, know-how, licensing).
• Maintaining IP and tech transfer documentation per regulations and EU standards.
• Collaborating with ICTER's Technology Transfer Office and external partners (industry, investors).
• Negotiating and concluding licensing and commercialisation agreements with companies and startups.
• Educating researchers on IP principles and licensing opportunities; facilitating NDAs/MTAs/related contracts.
• Promoting technologies by presenting at trade fairs and industry media.
• Monitoring outcomes and reporting to funding agencies and partners.
