Job summary

Galvion is seeking an experienced Sourcing and Supplier Development professional to lead strategic sourcing for complex commodities across global supplier networks. You will collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Operations to industrialize new products, assess supplier capabilities, and drive cost reductions while ensuring risk and compliance are managed.

Location flexibility includes Poland, the UK, or remote work, with international travel as required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–8+ years of experience in mechanical product engineering, sourcing, supplier development.
• Strong knowledge in soft goods, plastic injection molding, electronic, casting, machining, forging and tooling manufacturing.
• Experience managing technically complex suppliers and working with international suppliers.
• Proficiency with Power BI, SharePoint and Excel.
• Willingness to travel internationally as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for technically complex commodities.
• Support supplier identification and evaluation through RFQ, negotiation and supplier approval.
• Enforce Sourcing Gate process with required technical, commercial, quality and risk assessments.
• Ensure decisions are supported by gate reviews and cross-functional alignment.
• Develop cost, supplier and risk analyses focusing on total cost of ownership.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, dual sourcing, localization and supplier consolidation.
• Lead supplier qualification, production readiness, tooling reviews and new supplier industrialization.
• Develop and monitor supplier improvement plans covering cost, quality, delivery and capacity.
• Partner with Product Engineering to source and industrialize new products and processes.
• Translate engineering drawings into clear supplier requirements and support DFM discussions.
• Support manufacturing cost optimizations through tooling and process discussions.
• Support evaluation and selection of strategic suppliers and negotiate complex commercial agreements.
• Develop long-term supply agreements and partnership structures.
