Job summary

Hitachi Energy seeks an Application Manager to own the end-to-end lifecycle of engineering applications. You will govern onboarding, operations, risk management, and retirement while aligning with enterprise architecture and regulatory expectations.

You will lead cross‑functional teams across IT, security, and vendors, ensuring cost efficiency, performance, and compliance, with a focus on roadmap alignment and value realization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Application Management, IT Service Delivery, or similar roles.
• ITIL 4 knowledge including Incident, Problem, Change, Release, SLA Management.
• Experience with Engineering domain tools, product design, manufacturing, or PLM systems.
• Experience working with global, cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, integrations, and data flows; Agile/DevOps.
• Lean / Lean Six Sigma principles; degree in Engineering, CS, IS or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Govern applications across the full lifecycle from onboarding to retirement.
• Maintain documentation and records in the CMDB / application registry.
• Ensure effective service delivery including incident, problem, change, and release management and SLAs.
• Ensure security and compliance including access management and audits.
• Maintain application roadmaps aligned with business priorities and engineering strategy.
• Drive user adoption and training to realize business value.
• Manage costs, licenses, and vendor relationships, including contracts.
• Plan and execute controlled application retirement with data archiving and risk mitigation.
