Job summary

Konecranes Poland seeks a Steel Structure Supervisor to lead on-site fabrication supervision, ensuring safety, schedules, and manufacture per drawings and specs. You will report progress and coordinate with suppliers and customers to maintain quality.

This role requires frequent travel in Poland and abroad, a mechanical engineering background, and strong communication in English and Polish.

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel frequently in Poland and abroad.
• Mechanical engineering degree or similar; IWE/IWI asset.
• Good technical orientation in mechanical/manufacturing engineering.
• English good professional level for business use.
• Polish communicative.
• At least 2 years in steel structures manufacturing.
• Proactive with initiative.
• "Can do" attitude and ability to build relationships with suppliers, customers and colleagues.
• Knowledge of technical drawings and documentation.
• Driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Act on-site as Konecranes representative for Ports Solutions PL.
• Ensure work complies with safety practices and laws.
• Monitor schedules, communicate and report to project team.
• Ensure product manufacture per specifications and drawings.
• Ensure specified quality of the product is fulfilled.
• Guide Subcontractor activities.
• Assist Subcontractor with technical questions.
• Report progress, quality and safety issues.
• Report manufacturing non-conformance.

Due to business development, we are currently looking for a new colleague who will join our Team acting as

Steel Structure Supervisor (she/he)

The person will be working in multiple locations in Poland and globally.

This job requires flexibility due to extensive travelling.

Scope of responsibilities:

Supervisor Ports Solutions PL would act as Konecranes representative in the Ports Supply organization, performing factory/on-site supervising of the crane manufacturing processes, with main duties mentioned below:

• Acting as the Konecranes representative on site,
• Ensuring that the work is done according to safety practices and laws,
• Monitoring the schedules, communicating, and reporting to project team,
• Ensuring the manufacture of the product in accordance with the specification and drawings,
• Ensuring that the specified quality of the product is fulfilled,
• Guiding Subcontractor’s activities,
• Assisting Subcontractor in clarifying technical questions,
• Reporting about progress of work, quality, and safety related issues,
• Reporting on manufacturing non-conformance

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Open to frequent business travelling in Poland and abroad (including EMEA and APAC regions)
• Mechanical Engineer degree or similar, IWE/IWI qualifications will be regarded as an asset!
• Good technical orientation in mechanical/manufacturing engineering
• English - good professional level (daily use in writing and speaking in business environment)
• Polish - communicative
• Preferably at least 2 years of experience in steel structures manufacturing,
• Proactivity and initiative in actions,
• "Can do" attitude and ability to build good relationships with suppliers, customers, and colleagues,
• Knowledge and understanding of technical drawings and documentation,
• Driving licence
