Job summary

Konecranes is seeking a Steel Structure Supervisor to oversee on-site crane manufacturing processes across Europe and beyond. The role requires frequent travel, working at multiple locations, and ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery in accordance with drawings and specs.

You will represent Konecranes on site, coordinate with subcontractors and project teams, review technical documentation, and drive continuous improvement while building strong relationships with suppliers and customers.

Qualifications

• Open to frequent business travelling in Poland and abroad (including EMEA and APAC regions).
• Mechanical engineer degree or similar; IWE/IWI assets are a plus.
• Good technical orientation in mechanical/manufacturing engineering.
• English - good professional level.
• Polish - communicative.
• Preferably 2+ years in steel structures manufacturing.
• Proactivity and initiative; can-do attitude; strong relationships with suppliers and colleagues.
• Knowledge of technical drawings and documentation; driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the Konecranes representative on site and supervising crane manufacturing.
• Ensure work follows safety practices and laws; monitor schedules and report to project team.
• Guarantee product manufacture per specifications and drawings; ensure quality levels.
• Guide subcontractors; assist with clarifying technical questions.
• Report progress, quality and safety issues; report on non-conformance.

Steel Structure Supervisor (she/he)

The person will be working in multiple locations in Poland and globally.

This job requires flexibility due to extensive travelling.

Scope of responsibilities:

Supervisor Ports Solutions PL would act as Konecranes representative in the Ports Supply organization, performing factory/on-site supervising of the crane manufacturing processes, with main duties mentioned below:

• Acting as the Konecranes representative on site,
• Ensuring that the work is done according to safety practices and laws,
• Monitoring the schedules, communicating, and reporting to project team,
• Ensuring the manufacture of the product in accordance with the specification and drawings,
• Ensuring that the specified quality of the product is fulfilled,
• Guiding Subcontractor’s activities,
• Assisting Subcontractor in clarifying technical questions,
• Reporting about progress of work, quality, and safety related issues,
• Reporting on manufacturing non-conformance

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Open to frequent business travelling in Poland and abroad (including EMEA and APAC regions)
• Mechanical Engineer degree or similar, IWE/IWI qualifications will be regarded as an asset!
• Good technical orientation in mechanical/manufacturing engineering
• English - good professional level (daily use in writing and speaking in business environment)
• Polish - communicative
• Preferably at least 2 years of experience in steel structures manufacturing,
• Proactivity and initiative in actions,
• "Can do" attitude and ability to build good relationships with suppliers, customers, and colleagues,
• Knowledge and understanding of technical drawings and documentation,
• Driving licence
