Job summary

CoreWeave seeks a Staff Software Engineer, Cluster Orch (Non SUNK), to lead architecture and technical vision for Kubernetes-native orchestration on massive GPU clusters. You will shape how AI workloads are admitted, scheduled, and governed at scale, while mentoring engineers and driving reliability across teams.

You will work with Go and distributed-system principles, contributing to a high-impact platform that underpins both training and inference workloads across CoreWeave’s global GPU

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience in distributed systems or cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in Go; designing large-scale production systems.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes internals, scheduling, CRDs, and controller-based architectures.
• Experience leading high-impact technical initiatives across multiple distributed teams without direct authority.
• Strong operational mindset with ownership of mission-critical production systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical vision and architecture for major portions of the platform.
• Define how AI workloads are admitted, scheduled, and governed on large GPU clusters using frameworks like Kueue, Volcano, and Ray.
• Lead cross-team architecture reviews and drive alignment across infra teams and managed inference groups.
• Establish platform-wide standards for reliability, capacity management, and developer experience; mentor senior engineers.
