InPost is seeking a Staff Engineer to define the technical direction for Payments Core, Merchant, or Consumer platforms within the FinTech Platform team. You will drive architecture clarity, engineering standards, and cross-team leadership to evolve our platform in a data-driven way.

You will own long-term technology decisions and serve as the throughline between engineering, product strategy, and architecture standards, while mentoring other engineers and influencing adoption of patterns across

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering with leadership experience.
• 2+ years in cross-team technical leadership or architecture authority.
• 3+ years designing distributed payments or fintech systems.

Responsabilités

• Define and maintain the backend architecture for your area, including domain boundaries, event contracts, and data consistency models across teams.
• Publish Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) and RFCs to document decisions and trade-offs.
• Evaluate technology choices: databases, cloud services, messaging topology, and consistency models for financial data.
• Lead the evolution of the agentic development harness with instrumentation and data-driven improvements.
• Drive broad technical changes and build cases for adoption across teams without direct authority.
• Provide input into product strategy and mentor Staff-track engineers through reviews and guidance.
