Job summary

InPost Pay is building its own fintech platform from the ground up, with an AI-native engineering approach and a focus on scalable architecture in Poland. The Senior Engineering Manager will lead 2-3 Engineering Managers across 8-20 engineers, shaping multi-quarter roadmaps and driving delivery at scale.

You will collaborate with Product, Design, Data, Compliance, and Finance to align strategy, drive outcomes, and foster an AI-first engineering culture while engaging with executive leadership.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in backend software engineering and leadership.
• Experience managing Engineering Managers in a multi-team setup.
• Strong architectural and technical credibility for reviews with Staff Engineers.

Responsibilities

• Define and own multi-quarter engineering strategy for platform area (architecture evolution, team topology, capability building, risk management).
• Lead 2-3 Engineering Managers across 8-20 engineers, developing leaders and ensuring delivery quality.
• Synthesize product direction, architecture input, and ops insights into executable area strategy.
• Define organizational structure: boundaries, headcount planning, hiring strategy, role definitions aligned to goals.
• Serve as executive engineering voice to VP and C-suite with credibility and commercial framing.
• Drive AI-first culture: adoption, agentic operations, data emission discipline across the area.
• Partner with Product, Business, and Engineering to align strategy and drive outcomes.
• Manage cross-team dependencies and ensure high-quality delivery at scale.
