Job summary

InPost is seeking a senior technology leader to drive growth and scale for payment, checkout, and sales products. You will oversee an engineering organization of ~24–25 engineers across three teams and develop leadership across the tech stack.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in software engineering with Java/Spring Boot, distributed systems experience, and a background in cloud environments, governance, and strategic alignment with product and business partners.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering and technology leadership experience.
• Experience managing Engineering Managers and multi-team organizations.
• Strong technical foundation as a Software Engineer.
• Hands-on with Java and Spring Boot.
• Excellent understanding of distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architectures.
• Experience with cloud environments (Google Cloud is a strong advantage).
• Experience defining technical standards, SDLC processes, governance models, and engineering operating frameworks.
• Ability to translate engineering strategy into measurable business outcomes and communicate with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Drive growth and scalability of technology teams supporting payment, checkout, and sales-related products.
• Lead an engineering organization of ~24–25 engineers across 3 teams.
• Develop Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, and senior engineers; build leadership pipeline.
• Establish and maintain technical, architectural, and delivery standards across the domain.
• Shape technology strategy with Product, Business, and Engineering stakeholders.
• Manage dependencies across teams; ensure high-quality delivery at scale.
• Identify and remove organizational and technical bottlenecks impacting product development.
• Define and drive the domain’s AI adoption strategy for productivity and quality.
• Promote responsible AI adoption and measure business and engineering impact.
• Lead data-driven decision making with KPIs, OKRs, SLAs, and performance metrics.
• Use insights to improve delivery, platform reliability, and customer outcomes.
• Represent engineering in strategic initiatives and cross-functional discussions.
