Job summary

RTB House is seeking a Staff Security Engineer to strengthen security across applications, on‑prem and cloud infrastructure. You will work with Software, Platform, DevOps, Cloud and Security Operations Center teams to identify risks, design controls, and raise security standards.

This senior IC role emphasizes architectural influence and pragmatic improvements. You will help shape secure-by-default practices, bridge security with engineering, and translate incidents into concrete architectural

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in security engineering or closely related roles.
• Strong hands‑on experience designing security controls for production environments.
• Experience with large scale distributed systems and high throughput environments.
• Polish and English language is a must (min.B2/C1).
• Experience performing security architecture reviews, threat modeling, or security assessments.
• Strong understanding of application, infrastructure, network security, authentication, and authorization.

Responsibilities

• Identify systemic security risks across applications, on-prem infrastructure, cloud environments, internal platforms, and software development processes.
• Perform security architecture reviews for existing and new systems.
• Work with engineering teams to identify security weaknesses early in the SDLC and design practical mitigations.
• Collaborate with SOC to improve detection capabilities and translate findings into better controls and architecture.
• Design and implement security controls, tools, automation, and services reusable across teams.
• Define and evolve security standards, guidelines, reference architectures, and best practices.
• Review complex designs and provide actionable security recommendations without blocking engineers.
