Job summary

InPost Pay is seeking a Staff Engineer to define the technical direction for Payments Core, Merchant, or Consumer platforms, enabling scalable fintech solutions within a hybrid Poland-based engineering team. You will own architectural decisions, ADRs/RFCs, and drive agentic engineering maturity across multiple squads, collaborating with product strategy and architecture standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering
• 3+ years in cross-team technical leadership or architecture authority
• Hands-on with multiple tech stacks and backend focus
• Experience designing APIs at service-boundary level
• Knowledge of LLM tool-use patterns is a plus

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain backend architecture across your area
• Author ADRs and RFCs to document decisions
• Evaluate database and cloud service trade-offs for financial data
• Own evolution of agentic development harness with data
• Mentor staff-track engineers through reviews and technical writing feedback
• Provide input into product strategy and governance
