Job summary

CoreWeave seeks a Staff Engineer, AI Object Storage to design and implement distributed storage solutions for scaling AI workloads. You will work on exabyte-scale, S3-compatible object storage and integrate dedicated clusters into diverse customer environments.

You will influence reliability, durability and telemetry, while guiding architectural standards and mentoring engineers across teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in CS/Engineering or equivalent
8+ years in storage systems engineering or infrastructure platforms
Strong hands-on with object storage or distributed filesystems in high-scale environments
Deep experience with storage protocols (S3, NFS) and distributed architectures (Ceph/DAOS)
Proficiency in Go, C, or Rust
Experience with cloud-native infra, Kubernetes, and scalable architectures
Familiar with telemetry pipelines (Prometheus, Grafana, ClickHouse) and observability
Experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate development workflows

Responsibilities

Design and implement distributed storage solutions to support AI workloads
Develop exabyte-scale, S3-compatible object storage and integrate clusters into customer environments
Collaborate across teams to improve reliability, durability and security
Lead architectural standards and provide technical mentorship across the engineering team
